It’s time for this year’s recap of the Pirate Summit. We would like to thank you very much for making Pirate Summit 2016 such an unforgettable experience. Without you the Pirate Summit would not be the same. For us, the founders of Pirate Summit, it’s exactly what we wanted to achieve when we came up with the idea in 2010: Quality over quantity, creating #meaningfulconnections and eventually, celebrating entrepreneurship.
We would like to express our gratitude towards the judges, mentors and speakers for sharing their experience and knowledge with us. Another thank you goes to our partners, some of them supporting us since the very first year! We shouldn’t forget to thank our dedicated team & volunteers, because without them the Pirate Summit wouldn’t have been possible. Big ARRR!
If you would like to relive the Pirate Summit 2016, we are recommending to take a look at the photos on our Facebook page (Day 1 & Day 2). Feel free to tag yourself and/or your friends. If you’re on instagram and/or twitter, feel free to look for #piratesummit.
We are very happy, that we had so many qualified startups on board, who participated in the Walk-The-Plank pitch competition. That’s why it wasn’t easy for the jury to choose our finalists, but at the end following startups stood out:
Nevertheless only one could win the Walk-The-Plank pitch competition and we are proud to present you the winner LeanIX! We’ll take them on a 3-day Pirates on a Plane-VC tour to Berlin & London, meeting 15+ investors. You’ll hear more about that soon.
Pirate Summit 2017
We enjoyed welcoming 1.000 pirates this year to celebrate entrepreneurship, therefore we’d love to see you again next year. The date is already set: September 6-7th, 2017. If you want to talk about early partnership opportunities, feel free to send a mail to meike [at] piratesummit [dot] com.
If you are interested in hearing what we will work on for the next few months, then you should take a look at our upcoming events:
We are very excited about hardware. That’s why we launched a new conference in the Internet of Things space. It’s called RIOT and will take place this November in Berlin. We just launched the website and registration with special Early Bird Tickets is open. Check out riot.berlin.
Also, we’re continuing our EXEC series and are again bringing together the key players of the fintech and insurtech scene. Stay tuned and check out exec.events.
